Born the youngest of five and under the sign of Gemini, Amy Seddon Ebert knows acting and performing to be part of her calling. Curious by nature, childhood included many opportunities for make-believe and imagination, casting friends, a graciously abiding niece and at times her pets to play as cast mates – a cat in a bonnet fastened into a stroller comes to mind... After high school Amy went on to earn a BA in Psychology at CSU, Chico while being active in one of the most highly regarded national women’s fraternities - Pi Beta Phi.
Creative endeavors have always been her strong-suit. She’s performed in over 65 commercials, television, film, industrials, plays and print, all the while training to improve her craft. Amy has worked amongst Oscar, Grammy and Emmy award winning artists, Oscar and Emmy nominated and heavily awarded Directors.
Regarding the world of story-telling, Amy loves the collaborative efforts of each individual in a project coming together with specific duties and purpose in such a uniquely designed way to create a powerful experience for an audience. She has always been interested in many different types of occupations, time period and points of view, acting is the best way for her to express as many and as much as possible. Improv classes with monthly performances finds her experimenting with a variety of characters and then some. This diversity has contributed to her ability to be in the moment.
Additional training includes Robert D'Avanzo, Ivana Chubbuck Institute, as well as specific audition techniques with Amy Jo Berman and John Dapolito. Current work includes but is not limited to, “Boys Will Be Boys” awarded “Golden Film” in Netherlands, “Escaping Las Vegas” Directed by Andrzej Sekula, the female lead in Oscar and Grammy winning artist Jimmy Napes music video “Give It Up” and a National Commercial Directed by Oscar, Emmy, DGA nominated and SAG awarded Bob Balaban.
